Ghost bike

Sunday,
The day after the passing of Atip, some of his closest friends set up a memorial to honor the life he lived. A ghost bike was chained and bound to a pole right on the corner of University and Park in San Diego. There was a great turnout. I was awestruck to see so many people there paying their respects. His family was strong, eloquent and grateful for the support. It was quite surreal to see the mass congregate and unify in order to give Atip a proper farewell. The ghost bike is beautiful and everyone made sure to leave their print on the memorial as they saw fit. Truly amazing thing to witness and share with the community.
